Spice Up Your Next Potluck

The holidays are just around the corner and so are all the same old holiday foods. This year, bring a spiced up dish to your next potluck. From spiced nuts to a sweet potato + poblano salad, we’ll share some of our favorite potluck dishes. Don’t worry, we won’t forget the cranberry sauce!

When you’re in a time crunch…

An easy, yet impressive snack is the Spiced Rosemary and Thyme Nuts by A Farmgirl’s Dabbles. It only takes 25 minutes, so it’s great if you are in a hurry. The fresh ingredients are rosemary and thyme (but we won’t judge if you use dried) and the remaining ingredients are probably already in your pantry. We like to sub the sugar for maple syrup.

When everyone has already volunteered for the easy dishes…

You know how it goes, you’re last to respond with what you are bringing to a potluck and all that’s left is vegetable side dishes. Have no fear, Bon Appetite’s Sweet Potato and Poblano Salad with Honey and Rosemary is there to save the day. This recipe has it all, grilled sweet potatoes (you can skip this step, but I wouldn’t…), mild but flavorful poblano peppers and a delicious rosemary and honey dressing that you should double so you can have extra for later.

When you want to bring some color to the table…

The Fresh Thai Quinoa Salad with Peanut Sauce by The Garden Grazer will add color and a whole lot of flavor to any potluck. It’s not only gluten free, but also oil free and vegan so it can be a great option for a wide variety of partygoers.

When you’re hosting the potluck...

Our favorite recipe when we’re hosting is Vegan Heaven’s Vegan Lentil Loaf, not only is there a scrumptious gravy, but there is also a great optional cranberry pear sauce recipe at the end. Impress your friends, make this dish!

We hope you enjoy some of our favorite potluck recipes. Let us know if you try them or have any of your own favorite recipes that we should try!
