Do you get heartburn often? Before you turn to your medicine cabinet, head over to your pantry, the solution may be there. By now, you may have heard about the many uses of Apple Cider Vinegar. Read on to find out why it may also help with your heartburn.
Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) has worked its way into many people’s homes and not just for salad dressing. There are variety of uses from skin toners to hair rinses, what can’t ACV do? One of our favorite ACV uses is to aid with acid reflux or heartburn.
If you feel acid reflex coming on, try a tonic of 2 tablespoons ACV, 1 cup of water and if desired 1 tablespoon of honey for flavor. When we take this tonic after feeling the effects of heartburn we find that within minutes the discomfort gradually eases away.
Many people start their day with an ACV tonic or take it before they eat foods they know will give them heartburn as a preventative measure. As with most things in life, moderation is key. When incorporating ACV tonics into your routine, start small and see how your body reacts.
